The slender, fragile, not very fleshy, slender, thin, fleshy plant has a 1 to 4 cm diameter cap, hazel or cream-coloured, with separate whitish or hazel-coloured leaves and a narrow, very fibrous stalk, which does not break when twisted. Feet are hard, so we will have to do without them for the most part.
Marasmius oreades grows throughout North America and Europe in spring, summer and autumn, although it can be found year-round in temperate climates.
Some recipes: Veal fricassee with mushrooms, in omelette or with scrambled eggs.
